Install macOS High Sierra on a blank hard drive. A small pointer for any who have the same issue. I put in an entirely new 2TB WD sata drive and then preformed a fresh install of snow leopard onto it. In essence, High Sierra took what was good with Sierra and developed it into a more comprehensive software. High Sierra emphasizes the already-existing benefits of MacOS previous system, Sierra. There are few bells and whistles, but the changes are noticeable and positive. The Apple file system is the most significant feature it brought.

Remove NBSP for ALT + SPACE
By default
alt + space
in OS X would result in a no breaking space. This results in all kinds of weird behaviours when writing code. The best solution is to override alt + space
and instead return a normal space.Create path
